- 4K 120Hz Gaming Cloud on LG TV from September 2025
- GeForce has now also upgraded on LG monitors, on PC and on the steam bridge
- Requires a GeForce subscription now ultimate
NVIDIA has announced a massive upgrade of games for LG TVS: they can now deliver 4K 120Hz games based on the cloud via GeForce – provided you have a subscription to GeForce now ultimate and a compatible TV.
That’s not all. The same upgrade that feeds these televisions also brings cloud games up to 5k 120 Hz on LG monitors, and up to 360 images per second at 1080p on PCs.
High performance streaming is thanks to the powerful combination of NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and its GPIFORCE RTX 5080 GPUs in the company streaming servers: they make the big dupbage and broadcast the data directly towards and from your TV, monitor or PC.
GeForce now offers upgrades for everyone
As Flatpanelleshd reports, GeForce will now increase the image frequencies on the 60 -frame steam bridge at 90 images per second, will provide “high performance games” on Mac by offering access to the GPUs of the new generation and will broadcast up to 360 images per second on PCs at 1080p.
The Blackwell architecture and the RTX 5080 class GPUs are extremely powerful: Nvidia says that they surpass the PlayStation 5 Pro by more than three times, offering a huge 62 teraflops.
The updated service also promises better color precision, smoother streaming thanks to the use of the AV1 codec up to 100 Mbps, and video filters powered by AI “for some games” to reduce blur and noise on the screen.
According to the CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, “Bringing the Nvidia Blackwell Architecture, one of the most important computer innovations in GeForce, now represents the biggest jump in the cloud games of all time. With Blackwell, GeForce now offers even more dizzy graphics, the fastest of images and all the negligible latency to transform the market today.
The upgrade of GeForce with the Nvidia Blackwell architecture will begin to take place in subscribers in September. You can see GeForce’s GeForce’s list of televisions here – it is not yet clear if they will all take care of 4K 120Hz from GeForce now even if they can support it on HDMI.
But we would say that it is quite sure to assume that if you have a more recent and higher LG TV – especially an OLED – it should be sure to assume that you are supported. We already assess LG OLED among the best game televisions, so that solidifies it (at least, until others are caught up).
