Liam Gallagher shot a certain rope with a poignant tribute for the boxer Ricky Hatton.
After the premature death of the emblematic boxer at 46, celebrities expressed their sorrow, including Oasis Star Liam.
He went to his official X (formerly Twitter), to write a heartbreaking post to pay tribute to Ricky.
“Absolutely devastated to hear the news from Ricky Hatton,” he started.
“It was an absolute honor to know him and carry his belts,” continued Liam.
“Rip Champ Live Forever LG X,” he concluded.
For the Unversed, the late boxer was found dead at his home in the Grand Manchester on Sunday morning September 14.
The friendship of Liam and his brother Christmas dates back to the moment when the duo wore Ricky’s belt in the ring before her fight with Paulie Malignaggi in Las Vegas in 2008.
Ricky previously spoke of their friendship by saying: “Since I was a child, I wanted to be world boxing champion, support Man City and listen to Oasis.”
“But I became a quadruple world champion in two weight classes, I ended up boxing at the Etihad stadium in front of 55,000 people, and I became a friend with Christmas and Liam Gallagher over the years,” he added.
In addition, Ricky’s death came two weeks after being seen Oasis‘ hit Wonderwall.
