Lindsey vonn has proven that she had never lost her ski prowess.
The Olympic-Médaillé Alpine alpine skier returned to the podium this weekend, finishing second place in a super-G race of the World Cup on Sunday. The result occurred six years after his retirement for the first time in the sport and 11 months after undergoing a partial replacement of the knee.

The 40 -year -old star has become the oldest alpine ski runner to finish on the podium.
“It was hard,” said Vonn. “It’s not easy what I do. It was really good to say that I did it. That I can always do it.”
Vonn was emotional after the race, which was won by the Swiss competitor Lara Gut-Behrami.
“Age is only a number,” said Vonn. “If you feel well and you are still mentally conducted and you work hard, you can do everything you have decided.”
She added that skeptics and opponents also fed it.

“Sometimes negative voices, they lead me more than positive,” said Vonn. “I use all this as fuel. It propelled me through difficult times this year. I knew I could do it.
“When I crossed the finish line, there is a lot of relief to be where I know that I can be and to silence so many negative voices that have just surrounded me, it looks like, all season. It was just a nice exclamation point to put in the season.”
Friday, Vonn talked about his goal of competing at the 2026 Olympic Games in Cortina, Italy.
“These Olympic Games, that’s all I really wanted to do,” she told the Associated Press. “Cortina is one of my favorite places, so it’s the carrot hanging in front of me.
“As soon as it has disappeared, I can start skiing powder and play tennis and live the life that I have lived for six years.”

Vonn for the last medal during the 2018 Pyeongchang Games in South Korea. She won 82 World Cup victories in her career and three Olympic medals, with two bronze to her gold.
Vonn said on Sunday that he planned to rest for a few weeks before going to Europe for more tests.
