Local leaders react to Indian missile attacks, come from strong reprisals

Pakistan’s political leaders, belonging to governance and opposition parties, gathered to condemn India’s attack on Pakistan.

India has carried out air strikes on six different places within Pakistani territory leading to the martyrdom of 26 people, including two girls of three and seven women.

In addition, 46 people were injured, including nine women and 28 men.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Pakistan’s Party Party President (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, condemned India missile strikes against Pakistan, calling them “loose attack” against civilian targets.

Bilawal, in a statement published on X (formerly Twitter), condemned strikes on Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli and Muzaffarabad and called him an act of war.

He also said that India’s attacks on innocent civilians, including women and children, were “wild” and violated the basic principles of war. He said these attacks would be filled with any strength.

“The targeting of innocent women and children is not strength, it is savagery,” added Bilawal, promising that the armed forces of Pakistan, supported by a United Nation, would decisively respond to the attack. “We will not tolerate the violations of our sovereignty. Pakistan is united, provocative and ready,” he concluded.

CM Maryam Nawaz

The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, firmly sentenced the Indian missile strike on Pakistani soil, calling it a “cowardly” act which constitutes a serious threat to regional peace and stability.

In a statement published late Tuesday evening, the CM described the missile attack as an “act of aggression” and praised the armed forces of Pakistan for their energetic response, which, according to her, forced India to retreat.

“The detestable act of India has exposed its true face to the world,” said CM Punjab. “Pakistan seeks peace, but we will never compromise on our sovereignty.”

Omar Ayub

Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI), the senior official, Omar Ayub, pointed out that India and its fascist chief Narendra Mod only understand the language of force.

“Pakistan Air Force proud to have shot down Indian planes. Whether it is a lesson for India. Intrusion at your own risk. You will be shot,” said PTI chief.

In a separate declaration, he also stressed that PTI, being the largest and most popular political party, is united with the people of Pakistan and those who defend the nation.

Sherry Rehman

Senator Sherry Rehman condemned India’s missile attack against Pakistan, describing him as an act of assault. She said: “Modi started, but Pakistan will end.”

Sherry Rehman described attacks on Muzaffarabad, Kotli and Bahawalpur as unforgivable crimes.

She also pointed out that the Missiles strike from India exposed its malicious intention and that Pakistan will no longer remain silent. “India has adopted our peace offer as weakness,” said Sherry Rehman, adding that now India will receive an answer in its language.

She continued by saying: “Modi’s government has put regional peace in danger. Pakistan’s response will crush the arrogance of the enemy.” According to her, the blood of the innocent Pakistanis paid in the missile attacks will not be not counted.

Maryam Aurangzeb

The Higher Minister of Punjab, Maryam Aurangzeb, also expressed himself, expressing the salvation of the nation to its brave armed forces, which quickly and decisively responded to the Indian aggression.

Maryam Aurangzeb noted that India’s loose attacks on innocent civilians, mosques and vital water projects such as the Neelum-Jhelum dam had met an extraordinary and powerful response from the Pakistani army.

She said: “Our forces have shown unrivaled strength and bravery by slaughtering five of the enemy planes.

She also declared that if Pakistan seeks peace, it is not weak and each attack will be welcomed with a double blow. “Our armed forces are like a steel wall that will crush all the enemy’s attacks,” she said, adding that the whole nation is united to its soldiers. “Pakistan Zindabad!”

Sheikh Rashid

The former Minister of the Interior and Head of Awami Muslim Lege (AML) Sheikh Rashid also commented on the situation, declaring in a video message that India launched an attack on non -armed Pakistani at night, to which the air force of Pakistan quickly killed five Indian jets, giving the enemy a firm response.
