Look for the father, a lost daughter in the flood

Islamabad:

The rescue teams have not yet located the bodies of a father and a daughter who have been swept away by flood waters in a private housing company in Islamabad.

The research operation continued for a second day, the Pakistan Army Various teams and provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) joining forces.

The incident occurred Tuesday morning when a vehicle carrying the victims was swept away by a sudden flood within the private housing company. On the second day of the rescue operation, the staff of the Pakistani army, the PDMA, the 1122 rescue, the ADC and other departments participated.

The research teams covered a 12 -kilometer section of the Soan River using boats and other equipment to locate the missing vehicle. The strong currents in the river and its linked sewers have embarrassed rescue efforts.

Army divers equipped with metal detectors carried out research from boats, while heavy machines and projectors were also used along the shore.
