With Pope Leo XIV assuming his article, the legend of the training of university football Lou Holtz shared an important message for each Catholic in the world.

Holtz said he was “Catholic all my life”, also serving as an altar boy. He urged people in the United States and in the world to be graceful towards Pope Leo while he begins his management of the Church.

“I am an old man, I was Catholic all my life. I was taught how the pope would be selected. White smoke, black smoke, and Cetera,” started Holtz. “But we never know the pope, because he is not infallible. He is infallible when everything comes to religious decisions, and we are taught to respect and pray for him and listen to him.

“I hope this pope will be very, very good, but I know: he is our pope. We must defend him, we must encourage him, we must pray for him and we must help him.”

Holtz continued by arguing “too many people do not give enough to the church today”, and this may be due to the fact that some do not believe in past papal decisions.

“The Church has financial obligations like anything else. So whether you like the Pope or not, is not relevant. He is our pope. You must respect him, pray for him and worry about him at the same time, accept the decisions he makes.

The media position Pope Leo XIV as a potential “counterweight” to Trump

“It is important for us to support the Pope, no matter who he is, whether we like it or not. Pray for him. Pray for the decisions they make. I have been blessed to know two popes, the visits. Make sure we pray for the Pope, follow his blessings and teachings because they led us the right way for so many years.

“Good luck to you, and I promise you, I will pray for the Pope because I know that the Pope will also pray for me and pray for the choices he makes in the best interest of this country.”

Since Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected first American pope last week, many wanted to find out about the new church chief.

Louis Prevost, his conservative brother, rejected the accusations that Pope Leo is a “awakened” successor to the late Pope Francis.

“It was not, like super politician,” Predost told Piers Morgan on “not censored”. “He is not gone, he is not right, he looks at the whole scene, takes information on both sides and finds a way to go down in the middle and not rush too many feathers.”

Prévost, however, addressed the previous criticism of Pope Leo of President Donald Trump’s methods in the middle of the migrant crisis.

“He can take offense at the method in which they move people and comment on this”, but nevertheless, “you must always follow the rules of the law.”

Holtz is a fervent supporter of Trump, publishing similar videos of his praise for the 47th president.

Holtz led to the university for 33 years with six different programs, notably Notre Dame, where he went 100-30 during his 11 years with the Fighting Irish.
