- Louis Vuitton Korea confirms cyber attack and data theft
- No financial data has been taken
- Luxury fashion brands are actively targeted these days
Cybercriminals have burst into the Korean subsidiary of the luxury brand Louis Vuitton and stole sensitive files, confirmed the company.
“We regret informing that an unauthorized third party has temporarily accessed our system, which led to the flight of certain customer information,” said the company in a press release published on its local website.
The company informed the government authorities and moved to secure its infrastructure and data, confirming that certain information was taken in the violation, but the financial files were not among them.

Other details of the attack are rare – we do not know when the attack occurred, how the disbelievers violated the business or what they were looking to achieve. Nor do we know if they have requested a ransom in exchange for stolen files, or if a cryptor has been deployed.
However, we see a diagram in cybercriminals targeting major luxury brands. In early June 2025, the French luxury brand Cartier warned customers some of their sensitive personal information was stolen in a data violation.
Two weeks earlier, in mid-May 2025, Dior experienced the same thing, after finding an unauthorized third party accessing some of the data he holds for Dior Fashion customers and accessories. Above the same time, Victoria’s Secret, another big fashion brand, has filed a new form with the American Sec confirming the catering systems after a violation.
Although not confirmed in most cases, some reports have been awarded to Spider Spider – an organization of cybercriminals unrelated to specific industries at any time. The FBI recently warned against the scattered displacement of the spider to American retailers. Although most of them are not American companies, they are important retail brands and, as such, are probably targets for Sported Spider.
