Lucien Laviscount is honest about the romance between Alfie and Emily in season 5 of ‘Emily in Paris’

Lucien Laviscount teases the unexpected twists and turns of season 5 of Emilie in Paris.

“Expect the unexpected,” said Laviscount, 33, who plays Alfie. Us every week while teasing the plot of season 5.

“I know when I first got the pilot [for the season 5 premiere]I was a little surprised,” he shared candidly.

“But again, the Emily in Paris universe continues to produce awesome things,” he teased. “I leave all my destiny in the hands of the writers. This season is fun.”

The upcoming season follows Emily Cooper’s (Lily Collins) move to Rome for the Rome branch of the marketing company she works for in Paris. Her occasional lover, Chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), also plans to follow her there. Alfie, who is also a former lover of Emily, is also set to take part in the new season.

Laviscount hasn’t ruled out getting back together with Emily in the future.

“Time will tell,” he said of another possible love triangle. “I’m just happy to be able to come back and work with these people every season.”

Ashley Park, who plays Emily’s best friend Mindy Chen, echoed Laviscount’s comments, saying, “What I will say is that it was a teaser. [that Netflix released] and that was only in Rome. We also filmed in Paris and Venice, so it was definitely a teaser.”

“It gives you a taste of the tone and what you can be excited about in the first two episodes,” she added. “But there is much more. The best is yet to come.”

Emilie in Paris season 5 will be broadcast on Netflix starting December 18, on Netflix.
