Luka Doncic wrote a farewell letter to Dallas Mavericks fans on Sunday, a few hours after the team exchanged him at the Los Angeles Lakers in a blockbuster that rocked the NBA world.
The Lakers have acquired Doncic and Maxi Kleber in an agreement for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a choice of draft. Utah jazz was also involved in the agreement.

Dononic is an All-Star with Quintuple All-Star and Quintuple from the first All-NBA team. He has an average of 28.1 points per game.
He was the face of the Mavericks since the team acquired him at the NBA of the Hawks of Atlanta. The 25 -year -old is among the emerging stars who should be the face of the league – otherwise already. This is why the trade itself was incredibly magnificent.
Dononic thanked fans for their support. He made no mention of the team itself.
“Seven years ago, I came here in adolescence to continue my dream of playing basketball at the highest level,” wrote Doncic. “I thought I would spend my career here and I wanted to bring you a championship so much. The love and support that you gave me all is more than what I could never have dreamed of. “In good and bad times, injuries to the NBA finals, your support has never changed. Thank you not only for sharing my joy in our best memories, but also to raise when I had the most need.
“To all the organizations with which I worked throughout the Dallas community, please allow me to contribute to your important work and to join you to bring light to those who need it. While I start the next part of my basketball trip, I am leaving a city that will always feel like a house far from her home.
“Dallas is a special place, and Mavs fans are special fans.
“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”
Doncic will now team up with LeBron James and the Lakers as they continue another NBA championship.

“Recognizing for this incredible opportunity,” he added in an article to his Instagram stories. “Basketball means everything for me, and no matter where I play the game, I will do it with the same passion and the same goal – to win championships.”
