M2 Capital invests $ 20 million in Ethena to extend digital assets in the Middle East

M2 Capital Limited, the M2 Water -based Holdings Investment Branch, has invested $ 20 million in the Ethena, ENA governance token. This decision highlights an advance to connect investors from the Middle East to a new digital asset infrastructure at a time when the region is looking for a more important role in global finance.

Ethena is best known for its crypto-native synthetic dollar, the USDE, and its reward, Susde version. The two are supported by crypto collateral and maintained by coverage strategies designed to reduce volatility.

The protocol has attracted more than $ 14 billion in deposits since its launch in 2024, reflecting appetite for stablecoin products which also generate a yield.

M2 Global Wealth, a subsidiary of M2 Holdings, will integrate Ethena into its wealth management offers. The group indicates that this adds a regulated means for customers to access the yields of emerging digital assets. Kim Wong, head of the M2 Treasury, said that the agreement establishes a new standard for confidence and security on the region.

The investment follows M2’s participation in an initiative to finance the blockchain ecosystem followed earlier this year. It also occurs while the United Arab Emirates continue to strengthen its regulatory framework to attract companies and cryptographic investors.

By aligning with Ethena, M2 aims to offer childcare, performance and liquidity services while accelerating the adoption of new digital financing tools in the Middle East.
