Mac Jones found himself in a frightening situation on Thursday before helping the 49ers of San Francisco with a prolongation victory.
Jones started while Brock Purdy continues to face an injury, and the Niners won a 26-23 victory against the Rams of Los Angeles on the road.
But before heading for the stadium, Jones would have witnessed a body floating in the water outside the team hotel in Marina Del Rey, California.

“That morning at Marina Del Rey’s Team Hotel, Jones told teammates that he was on his balcony when he looked at the water and saw a floating corpse,” athletics reported. “Someone called the police. As the 49ers loaded buses for the stadium, the players watched the investigators and even the van of a coroner stop in the marina.”
Athletics added that the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department said the incident was still under investigation on Friday afternoon.
Despite the frightening view, Jones was clearly not imperturbable. He finished 33 of the 49 with 342 yards with the pass and two passes of Touché while his resurgence continued. He started the match with a pass of a touchdown to Jake Tongs and followed him with a pass of Touché to Christian McCaffrey.

The 49ers went up the land in the extension period and got close enough for Eddy Pineiro to try a basket. He struck the 41 yards of the post and through the amounts with 5:51 to work overtime.
The Rams moved to the field, but they filled Kyren Williams in fourth and 1 to preserve the victory.

The Niners now have 4-1 and 3-0 in their division which is again to descend over the course after having missed the playoffs last year.
