A meeting on track for girls in Maine has become the subject of a generalized controversy after a Trans athlete dominated several race events. The incident took place while the state faces internal and federal pressures to prevent the trans sports athletes from girls and a trial on the issue of the administration of President Donald Trump.
A trans-identifying athlete that contributed to the North Yarmouth Academy in Yarmouth, Maine, won female events of 800 meters and 1600 meters. In October 2023, PK Press Club Digital reported that this athlete was transgender. PK Press Club Digital contacted the North Yarmouth Academy for comments.
The athlete made the headlines of the national newspapers in Maine dating from this month after jumping in 4th place in the 5K division in the girls’ category after previously finishing the 172nd among the boys. “He burst all the girls in this particular race [the 1600m]There was no one near him, he easily won him. “Young told PK Press Club Digital.” In the 800m, it was a difference of a second, the girl tried very hard to catch her. “”
Young added that there had been several spectators to the competition to encourage the trans athlete, but no audible protests.
“There were a few people who shouted his name, he is quite well known,” said Young.
Young said that his athlete photos in 2023 became so viral on Facebook, and prompted so many backlash that he ended up removing these photos due to the overwhelming response.
“It became too mean,” said Young.
“Not only did I get it from the people who were for the transgender, but I received him from people who were anti-transgenders. And I did not know what to do, and someone finally said:” Well, if you delete the photo, the debate will disappear. “So I deleted the photo and the debate disappeared.”
However, Young said he planned to publish his most recent photos of the athlete on his Facebook page, even after what happened the last time.
Many of the past photos of the athlete have become viral on social networks in the aftermath of the last victory of the athlete. The residents of Maine, politicians and even national experts have published media, including the athlete and caused a national debate and awareness of competition while Maine faces a continuous internal and federal conflict on the issue.
