Islamabad:
The federal government has introduced major changes to the pension system, which has an impact on all government employees and retirees.
According to a newly issued notification, pensions will now be calculated according to the average salary of the last 24 months, and employees will no longer be authorized to receive several pensions.
In accordance with the new policy, the pensions of government employees will be determined using the average salary of their last 24 months of service. They will not be allowed to draw more than one pension. However, this rule will not apply to employees who opt for a voluntary retirement.
