The picturesque district of Shangla from the Malakand division is her hometown.

He added that 11 houses were destroyed while 63 were partially damaged, while two schools in Swat and another in Shangla were also affected.

“My greatest condolences to all those who have lost dear beings, houses and livelihoods,” wrote the Nobel Prize winner in his sincere position.

The rescuers struggled to recover the bodies of muddy debris on Saturday after sudden floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains across northern Pakistan killed at least 344 people in the last 48 hours, the authorities announced.

The majority of deaths, 324, were reported in KP, said the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Most were killed in sudden floods and collapsing houses, while at least 137 others were injured.
