Malir de Karachi obtains a new football stadium

On Sunday, the Minister of the Local Government of Sindh, Saeed Ghani, reiterated that the Pakistani peoples’ party (PPP) is not limited to rural districts but represents all the big cities of the Sindh. He spoke during the inauguration ceremony of the Malir Union Football Stadium.

He said that development regimes worth billions of rupees were executed through Karachi and the province, and expressed the hope that they would be completed during the current financial year.

Ghani also inaugurated two other projects, including a community center built by TMC Malir. He said that these installations had been established for the convenience of residents and would take place effectively. Several similar projects in Karachi districts should also be completed soon, he added.

The members of the assembly of Sindh Raja Razzaq and Saleem Baloch, the president of the city of Malir, Jan Mohammad Baloch, the president of the city of Ibrahim Hyderi, Nazir Bhutto, Imdad Jokhio, and other elected representatives, the chiefs and residents of the local PPP attended the ceremony.

Stressing the historic presence of PPP in Malir, Ghani said that the region had produced eminent party leaders and that PPP had always defended local interests. The party had won the greatest number of seats in the Malir district in the elections, he noted.

He called Shahrah-E-Bhutto one of the best development regimes in the city, benefiting simultaneously with four districts, with its final phase in Kathore to completion by December.

Referring to the K-IV project, he declared that he had been delayed due to defects in the initial design, which lacked power plants and power plants. He added that work was disrupted during Imran Khan’s mandate on corruption allegations according to cost climbing.

Now, with the PML-N in power, the work had resumed under Wapda, with 70 billion rupees allocated to the internal supply of Karachi. He hoped that the project would be completed in time.

Ghani also announced that the water supply of the hub canal would resume on August 14 and that Sindh had asked for an increase in the hub dam quota.

By rejecting criticism that the PPP only worked in its bastions, he said that the party had spent billions in infrastructure even in areas where it had not won a single advisor’s seat.

He described PPP as the greatest urban political force in the Sindh, noting that she had won the local elections in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas and Larkana, with all the mayors of the Sindh now of PPP.

He said that projects in rivers and sewers were progressing rapidly and ended in the coming months.

During the preparations for independence, Ghani said that the nation celebrated it as a “day of victory”.
