Police arrested a man for rape and strangulation on Tuesday to death and his brother’s wife in the limits of the Malir Cantt police station.
According to police from Malir Cantt, the suspect, Ishaq, confessed during the initial interrogation to the assault and murder of Sadia, 30, daughter of Hidayatullah. The victim’s body was discovered in a house in Haji Zakaria Goth with a knot flowing around his neck. A case was recorded at the Malir Cantt police station on the complaint of the deceased’s brother, Muhammad Hidayatullah, who also appointed Sadia’s mother-in-law, Allah Rakhi, his sister-in-law Kausar, Rashid, and his young brother Adil as suspects.
Hidayat said her sister Sadia came home with her five children and mother-in-law to attend a family function on August 24.
After returning to her husband, he received a call that she had committed suicide. Hidayat said that when he came to Sadia, he had found his body on the bed with strangulation marks on his neck and injuries on his nose and forehead. He claimed that the in-laws were preparing his grave for the burial before the police intervention. Hidayat raised a shade and shouting and called the police police 15. The body was transferred to Jinnah hospital for the autopsy where it was confirmed that the victim was brutally assaulted and then strangled. Sadia did not commit suicide, she was murdered.
