The USC later said that the Watkins season was over.

“Juju Watkins suffered an injury at the end of the season in the second round of the NCAA on Monday evening. She will undergo surgery and then start rehabilitation shortly after,” said the school.

ESPN reported that Watkins had undergone a torn LCA.

“I would lie if I told you that I was not seeing Juju on the floor crying,” said USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb, via ESPN. “It is a human game, and I therefore obviously did my best to be what I need to be for the team, but internally, that’s a lot.”
