Meghan Markle stole the show at the 34th Annual Alliance for Children’s Rights Gala on March 19, but not in the usual red carpet way.
The Duchess of Sussex accidentally overwrote a TikTok video in progress in the women’s toilet at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, later sharing the moment on her Instagram.
“Proud to honor my lifelong friend @heartmom for her exceptional work for @allianceforchildrensrights and @allianceofmoms,” Meghan captioned the post.
“Kelly, you’re one of the only ones. Such a special night + shout out to the girls in the ladies room making a TikTok video.
Sorry to ruin your party, but it was too good not to share.
In the clip, the Suits The star can be seen shaking hands and happily watching the women show off their dance moves on camera.
The gala honored Kelly McKee Zajfen, Meghan’s longtime friend and co-founder of Alliance of Moms, a nonprofit organization that supports pregnant and parenting teens in foster care.
Talk to Good morning!, Kelly called Meghan “an incredible role model for living a life of service,” praising her quiet dedication behind the scenes.
“She doesn’t do everything out loud; she does things quietly, so it’s really beautiful to watch,” she said.
Meghan also took the stage to introduce her friend, celebrating Kelly’s work and the organization’s impact.
