However, Weathers was withdrawn from his departure after three rounds for “precautionary reasons” after launching only 57 locations.

Weathers has an MPM of 2.49 on four departures (21⅔ lanches launched), only abandoning 15 strokes on these departures and six points deserved with 22 stick withdrawals and seven walks.
This is the fifth MLB season of Weathers after starting his career with the Padres of San Diego. He had a hard time starting his career before being exchanged in Miami during the 2023 campaign.

Weathers unlocked something in Miami, presenting himself to an MPM of 3.63 in 16 departures in 2024. He seems to have resumed where he had stopped before this scary incident during his last outing.
