On Wednesday, a special custody ceremony took place on Wednesday at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to honor the Marshal Syed Asim Mnnir after his promotion at the highest military rank.

The ceremony took place in Yadgar-e-Shuhada within the GHQ, where Marshal Asim Munnir filed a floral crown and offered Fateha in tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan.

General Munnir was raised to the rank of Marshal in the federal government in recognition of his exceptional management during the recent military clashes with India and the successful execution of “Operation Bunyanum Marsoos”.

The Prime Minister’s office recognized its exemplary courage and determination to lead the Pakistani army and coordinate the war strategy of the armed forces in depth.

Marshal Asim Munnir devoted the honor to the whole Pakistani nation and paid tribute to the armed forces, the organizations responsible for the application of laws and civil veterans for their incessant service and sacrifices.

He particularly recognized the martyrs, describing them as defenders who stood “like a steel wall” against the uninsured and illegal aggression of India.

“This honor is a tribute to the whole Pakistani nation and the valiant men and women of the armed forces of Pakistan, in particular the martyrs who stood like a steel wall against the unreal, cowardly and illegal Indian aggression against Pakistan,” he said.
