The Indonesian Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General (RETD), Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, met on Tuesday the chief of the staff of the army (COAS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to discuss on Tuesday strengthening military links, the wing of military media reported.

According to a press release published by the inter-service public Relations (ISPR), the Indonesian Minister of Defense, which leads a delegation of main representatives of various military and intelligence agencies, organized large interviews with the main military leaders in Pakistan.

The two parties exchanged views of regional security, defense cooperation and avenues to improve bilateral military collaboration. The meeting underlined the longtime friendship between the two nations, with a particular emphasis on mutual cooperation to ensure peace and stability in the region.
