Referring to recent regional tensions, Field Marshal Munir said that “in a nuclear environment, there is no room for war” and warned India that its continued aggression risked destabilizing the region. He added that the enemy’s use of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij as “mercenaries” exposes its “cowardly, hypocritical and odious face” to the world.
“Fitna al-Khawarij” is the term used to refer to terrorists affiliated with the banned group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), while “Fitna al-Hindustan” refers to extremist proxies backed by India. COAS Munir said both these pose threats to peace and are being confronted decisively.
He noted that Pakistan’s recent military operations Marka-e-Haq and Bunyanum Marsoos had boosted national confidence by defeating the enemy with its professional skills and determination. The armed forces, he said, destroyed many enemy bases, including S-400 systems, demonstrating Pakistan’s multi-domain warfare capabilities.
Field Marshal Munir called Pakistan’s victory in the May 2025 conflict with India a “decisive” moment that won the respect of the international community. He accused India of presenting “fabricated evidence” and politicizing terrorism for domestic political purposes.
Condemning Indian state-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people until the dispute is resolved in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations.
Commenting on Afghanistan, COAS Munir urged the Taliban regime to curb proxy militants using Afghan soil to launch attacks inside Pakistan. He said the recent border clashes, triggered by unprovoked Afghan firing, provoked a quick and precise response from Pakistan, leading to a 48-hour ceasefire.
