Marshfield Police Launch Search for Missing 8-Year-Old Boy, Callahan Pierce: Here’s What We Know

An 8-year-old Massachusetts boy reported missing Tuesday, March 24, has sparked an intensive search operation by state police.

According to Marshfield Police, troopers assigned to the Air Wing, K9 Unit, Troop D Community Action Team and Field Services are assisting in the search which continues into the darkness of the night.

Callahan Pierce was last seen on Moraine Street around 7 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

That’s according to Marshfield police, who described Pierce as wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants and carrying a backpack.

The search has since intensified, with helicopters using infrared technology and drones searching from the sky.

The Marshfield Police Department is asking residents to check all cameras, their property and all structures, especially in the Marshfield Center area towards the Duxbury Line.

Marshfield police said the boy is still missing and the search is ongoing while calling on residents to check all surveillance cameras, their property and all structures, especially in and around Marshfield Center towards the Duxbury Line.

Marshfield Police released a statement on Facebook that said: “Please take note of this. We greatly appreciate our community coming together as we always do in difficult times, however, we ask that no one come to the scene as this would hinder our ability to use our infrared cameras and any additional human scent would destabilize our dogs. We have numerous resources working on this matter.”

Late Tuesday night, March 24, Marshfield police issued a public safety alert, urging people to call 911 if Callahan is located.
