Marv Levy is 100 years old: the former coach of the Billages receives wishes of happy birthday

The legends of Buffalo Bills wanted the former head coach Marv Levy a very happy birthday when he was 100 years old on Sunday.

The Running Back Thomas of the renowned temple was among those who want Levy a happy birthday during the canton ceremonies, Ohio on Saturday. He also offered his voice to a larger video than the organization published to mark the occasion on Sunday.

Thomas joined Jim Kelly, Steve Tasker and Andre Reed in The Well Wishes.

“I just wanted to wish you a happy 100th anniversary,” said Thomas. “… I love you, coach.”

“Wow, I can’t believe it. Happy 100th birthday,” said Kelly. “… We are so blessed that you are always with us. You are the reason why we are who we are and we wear our golden jackets.”

“Happy 100th birthday, Marv,” added Reed. “Not only were you my coach, I consider you a mentor, a great man. To get to 100, you have done great things.

“Marv, I can’t tell you how much you have mean for me in my life,” said Tasker. “How much you wanted to say for the guys with whom I played, the teams you have trained, the men you made, the men you have supervised. … Happy 100th anniversary and I will be there when you are 200 years old too.”

The first Levy coach position was at St. Louis County Day School in Missouri in 1951. He burst into the NFL as a booter coach for the Eagles of Philadelphia in 1969 and progressed in the ranks. He obtained his first NFL head coach concert with the Kansas City chiefs in 1978. He was chicago Blitz head coach in the United States Football League in 1984.

Two years later, he joined the Bills and was chief coach from 1986 to 1997. During this period, the Bills were unlucky when they lost four super bowls in a row.

He was 112 to 70 years old at the Bills bar and 31-42 with the chiefs.
