- Wakanda’s eyes should make its Disney + debut earlier than expected
- Marvel’s next lively television series will be released on August 1
- THE Black panther The spectacle derived from anthology was initially released on August 27
Marvel would be ready to go out Wakanda’s eyesThe next Titan Comic lively television show, almost a month earlier than we planned.
The four -part anthology series was originally on Disney + on August 27. However, according to Entertainment Weekly (EW), the launch date of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was presented on August 1. All four episodes will arrive on the same date and, unlike other Marvel animated projects, are officially canon in the MCU-that is to say that they are on the Sacred Timline Soat.
I contacted Marvel and Disney for the official confirmation of the EW report, and I will update this article if I hear.
Billed as a Black panther Spin off, Wakanda’s eyes will explore the fictitious and technologically advanced history of the African nation over four periods in more detail.
Indeed, each episode will each present another protagonist who are members of Hatut Zaraze. This collection of Wakanda Warriors-Cum-Cum-Spaces highly trained will carry out dangerous missions to recover stolen Wakandains artifacts and vibranium-based weapons.
The mini-series, which is directed and created by the showrunner Todd Harris, was partially developed by Ryan Coogler-the latter being the writer-director of the nominated film at the 2019 Oscars Black panther and its suite in 2022 Black Panther: Wakanda forever. Coogler was also an executive producer of the recent Disney + Live-Action show Iron heart and is in the early stages of development Black Panther 3.
Opinion: the eyes of the new Wakanda release date may not be improved
It is rare to see Marvel Studios get on the release date of one of his films or television program. More often than not, the comic strip giant has rejected projects for reasons outside of its control – the COVVI -19 pandemic being an example – or due to production problems. Just look at the recent announcement concerning Avengers: Doomsdaywhich was originally to land in theaters next May, but whose release was delayed in December 2026.
Nevertheless, I think the liberation Wakanda’s eyes Three weeks earlier, it is not the smartest movement. Its revised launch date of August 1 means that it will not arrive until seven days after The Fantastic Four: First stepsThe latest MCU film of 2025 and one of the most anticipated new films of this year, made takeoff in theaters. You can see what I thought of the aforementioned film by reading my TCRistIl Fantastic Four: First steps.
For a studio that generally likes to surge the launch of its projects, it is weird to see Marvel out two in fast succession. It is even more foreign if we consider that, even if they are available on different platforms, the faithful MCU are much more likely to look First step that Wakanda’s eyes.
Indeed, I suspect that more fans will opt to see the last attempt to give the first family of Marvel the adaptation on the big screen that they deserve that its counterpart on a small screen. Compare the A-Listers who are part of the distribution of the first steps against the talented but less known stars who will express characters Wakanda’s eyesAnd the appeal of the first prevails easily on the second from the point of view of the power of the stars.

To watch
It is not an attempt to discredit Wakanda’s eyesBesides. I am sure that it will be one of the best Disney + shows of the year and, if so, his positive word of mouth will make people on the fact that he is already on one of the best streaming services in the world.
That said, when I think back to interviews with Marvel actors, directors and producers during my stay in Techradar, one thing is always very clear: Marvel likes to give each project room to breathe. The company does not subscribe to the concept of cannibalization of the audience of a production or box office in favor of another.
This then raises two questions: why release Wakanda’s eyes A week just after First step? And, considering that there will be no marvel films or television series before Marvel zombies arrives at the beginning of October, would it not have been better to stay with Wakanda’s eyesThe initial release date of August 27?
I doubt that I never get definitive answers to the above – Marvel Studios is a notoriously secret company, after all. However, it doesn’t matter if Wakanda’s eyes is good or not, it deserves better than being thrown on Disney + when one of Marvel’s most anticipated films has just landed in theaters.
