Maryam Aurangzeb, Chief Minister of Punjab and spokesperson for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), claimed that Ali Amin Gandapur’s loyalty to Imran Khan had been overshadowed by Bushra Bibi’s complaints, which led to his removal from the post of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). provincial president.

In a press statement, Maryam criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan, saying he prioritizes personal gain over loyalty, Express News reported.

“Imran Khan has a habit of using his friends, colleagues and workers to achieve his goals and throwing them away like tissue paper,” she remarked.

She accused Imran Khan of exploiting Gandapur during key anti-government campaigns, only to remove him when his loyalty was no longer beneficial.

“Ali Amin actively participated in the May 9 and November 26 campaigns, only to be rewarded with his dismissal from the party leadership,” Maryam added.

Maryam further listed examples of individuals she said were victims of Khan’s “opportunistic politics”, including Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan and Akbar Babar.

“Imran Khan’s betrayal knows no bounds. He has no loyalty to anyone, not even those who have made immense sacrifices for him. Today, no old friend, leader or supporter stands by him,” she said.

The PML-N leader urged the public to understand the nature of Imran Khan and refrain from being part of what she described as “future conspiracies against the state”.

Earlier, the PTI had announced a key change in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa leadership with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur resigning as the party’s provincial president.

Junaid Akbar, a member of the National Assembly, was appointed to replace him.

The decision was confirmed by PTI chief Salman Akram Raja during a press briefing in Rawalpindi.

Raja said Gandapur’s departure was voluntary, allowing him to focus on his responsibilities as chief minister amid pressing challenges, including law and order issues in the province.

“This move is in line with Gandapur’s request as he wanted to devote himself fully to the governance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Raja said.

The change in leadership was reportedly discussed in a meeting between Junaid Akbar and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in jail.

Several senior party leaders, including Atif Khan, Malik Ahmad Khan Bachhar and Mian Farhat Abbas, were also present in the meeting.
