Addressing participants during national security and 2026 war at Maison CM in Lahore, Maryam said that the nation remained liable for the sacrifices of the armed forces.

“I would like to congratulate the Pakistani armed forces and also the forces of friendly countries for the historic victory of [operation] Bunyan-Um-Marsoos, “she said.

CM Maryam was of the opinion that Pakistan was a proud country due to the success of the operation.

She also praised the Marshal Field Marshal Munir for her leadership skills during Pakistan’s response to India’s assault in May.

“I would like to congratulate and rent the exceptional leadership of Marshal Asim Mnir in wartime,” she said.

Punjab CM, however, stressed the importance of a stable and progressive internal front for national security.

“The low internal front is a reproductive ground for all evils. If the country is low from the inside, even if there is no external threat, this represents a serious threat to national security,” she said.

By reflecting on recent floods, the Punjab Minister of Punjab welcomed the efforts of his ministers and the provincial administration for taking opportune measures to protect people in the province.

“My first priority is the rehabilitation of the victims of the floods, with all the resources deployed for the rehabilitation operation,” she said.

The Punjab CM said that its government had provided three meals a day to people affected by floods, as well as medical facilities in the province.

Recent floods, which seriously damaged infrastructure and agriculture across the country, have led to economic losses amounting to 371 billion rupees.

Sudden floods and torrential rains have also made more than 1,000 lives across the country, said National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Out of the total of 1,006 deaths, the Punjab recorded 304 deaths, including 110 children, 143 men and 51 women.
