Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said strict directives to guarantee the timely evacuation of the populations in the areas affected by the floods, before the expected flooding torrents, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported on Monday.
In a press release, the CM underlined the need to use all the resources available to minimize loss of life. It ordered the immediate relocation of residents of riverside and low zones to safe places and instructed the rapid lag of livestock from rural regions affected by floods.

The CM has instructed district administrations, rescue 1122 and relevant departments in the districts of Kasur, Pakpattan, Taunsa Sharif and other vulnerable districts to remain on alert. She warned that any negligence in response to the disaster would not be tolerated.
