The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, ordered effective and complete repression to limit inflation across the province.
The chief minister ordered all the assistant commissioners to launch an effective campaign against prices prices and asked them to show the official price lists.
Maryam Nawaz has also ordered strict surveillance of the supply and demand for essential food products and asked the action to prevent hoarding.
She asked the Punjab chief secretary to personally supervise the campaign against prices and hoard prices, to present full daily prices and to ensure the quality and the rates of food products.
Punjab CM ordered assistant commissioners and assistant commissioners to closely monitor bread and flour prices. It also ordered the food authority to launch a repression to ensure the quality of food.
Maryam Nawaz said that strict prices and the supply of fruits and vegetables would be made during Ramadan. She asked that strict legal actions be taken against those who increase the prices of fruits and vegetables.
She stressed that Ramadan is a month of blessings and mercy and urged the business world to be attentive to the poor.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif mentioned that she personally checked the daily prices of food products through the dashboard and promised that during Ramadan, there would be no leniency in action against prices and hoarding.
