Maryam Nawaz promises a development of the modern city inspired by Japan

Punjab and Yokohama have agreed to cooperation from the “city to the city” in various fields, including environmental protection and the supply of modern development systems to cities, Minister Maryam Nawaz announced on Monday during his visit to the Japanese shopping, economic and cultural center.

The chief minister and his delegation received a detailed briefing on urban development at the Yokohama town hall. She explained how to bring the quality of construction of roads and buildings to Punjab tied with that of Japan. She also discussed various possibilities for cooperation between the Ravi Uthority (Ruda) and Yokohama.

The chief minister examined the possibilities of cooperation in the management of a high -speed train between Lahore and Islamabad, in addition to the upgrading of rail infrastructure in the province. She also examined the latest Japanese flesh and air cabin projects.

Maryam was informed that “Kun-Hun”, the three cities of Tokyo, Kawasaki and Yokohama, is located in an industrial zone in Japan. “Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan in terms of population. Punjab CM is on an official five -day visit to Japan. It also visited the largest wastewater treatment plant in Japan. The main minister Marriyum Aurangzeb accompanied him.

“Japan technology and modern methods will be used for the management of wastewater and waste in Punjab,” she said on this occasion. She inspected the waste treatment systems of Asahi, Yokohama City, Kanagawa, Washimaku and Yodogawa.

It was informed of the collection of garbage and wastewater as well as the waste disposal systems of Japanese cities. It has been informed that the Yokohama’s solid waste and wastewater treatment plant treats 1.5 million liters of wastewater daily.

“The Yokohama waste treatment plant also operates several factories that generate energy from waste. This energy is used to heat systems for the local population,” Japanese officials said. They said the plant was an ideal institution for the elimination of waste using modern technology.

The CM has been informed: “The waste is separated into reusable components through a modern plant and an automated system. Although it is an industrial city, Yokohama has the highest environmental standards.”

Maryam said that the environmental and urban development model would be implemented in Punjab. It also visited various parts of the warehouse linked to Newport Pier and a center for educational skills to children under community well-being in the establishment of the time. She saw children making various articles from paper and other materials.

The children showed her examples of their creative talents and she congratulated them. The CM said on occasion that a model of community well-being was also promoted to Punjab. “We also adopt methods of education and development of skills on modern lines, in addition to providing facilities to children in Punjab,” she added.

During a visit to the port of Yokohama, the chief minister informed the hosts of Ruda and said: “We want to develop Lahore, which is located on the banks of Ravi, on the Yokohama model.”

She invited managers of the Yokohama Urban Development Authority to visit Lahore and see the work of Ruda. “We want to work for the construction and development of industrial cities and densely populated by Punjab, including Lahore, on the Yokohama model. We want to transform Ruda into a modern urban development institution on the Yokohama model.”

The Yokohama team accepted the invitation to visit Lahore. CM Maryam said: “We want urban development while ensuring protection against environmental pollution and dangers as well as industrial development.”

She noted: “The densely populated and industrial city of Yokohama Japan is a rare example of modern urban development.” She received a briefing on work, management and installations at the port.

Meanwhile, Maryam ordered all stakeholders to take emergency measures due to any cloud explosions and torrential rains through Punjab. She ordered doctors and paramedical staff of hospitals and health centers to remain vigilant to deal with any unfortunate situation.

She ordered managers of the communications department and work to immediately repair and restore the roads affected by the rains. The CM has also ordered that the administration and other authorities concerned remain alert for the heavy rains in Chakwal and in other regions.

It also ordered the authorities to ensure the protection of lives and goods in the low areas of Chakwal, as well as the ban on bathe in rivers and canals. She ordered the police to patrol all the areas.

It has published directives for the timely evacuation of residents of the areas affected by floods and the restoration of traffic by eliminating the obstacles of small and large roads affected by the rains. She said: “Cloud explosions and torrential rains are natural calamities. All relevant institutions should remain alert at all times. No negligence will be tolerated in this regard. ”
