The War of Words in progress between Punjab and Sindh management has shown no signs of relaxation while the chief minister Maryam Nawaz once again retaliated to criticism, warning that those who reprimanded the Punjab would receive a strong answer.
She insisted that breeding her voice for the rights of her people was her duty and that she would never apologize for having done so.
Defending the share of Punjab in the country’s water resources, the chief minister said that the water in the province belonged to his farmers and could not be sacrificed to the altar of politics.

Speaking when launching the second phase of Lahore’s electric bus project on Friday, she deplored that when the disasters hit Punjab, her injuries were deepened by political points instead of solidarity.
She remembers having supported Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa after a fatal Cloudburst, but noted that when the Punjab was faced with similar challenges, his rescue efforts laughed at press conferences.
Rejecting criticisms not to seek international aid, she said that when the intention was service, it was not necessary to ask for charities from anyone.

The Pakistani peoples party and the Pakistani-Nawaz Muslim League have renewed their verbal spit on the use of the Benazir income support program to provide support for people affected by floods in Punjab.
The PPP has long recommended the proposal that the BISP would be the most appropriate means of supporting the victims of the floods; However, the Punjab government is opposed to the idea. The provincial government insists that the government’s help efforts were going well.
BISP is a national program to provide cash assistance to poor and vulnerable families, especially targeting women. First lady Asefa Bhutto Zardari warned that it would be “unfair not using” the bisp, which, according to her, was the “most effective means” to distribute the aid.

His comments came a day after the Minister of Information of Punjab, Azma Bokhari, revealed that the provincial government issued “emergency cards” to flood victims in their personal names of its own resources instead of using the bisp to help them.
Asefa wrote on X that recent floods in Punjab had an impact on more than four million people, stressing that the BISP would be the most efficient and fastest way for the distribution of aid.
However, Bokhari strongly criticized the PPP for dragging the bisp in the floods. “No one wants to abolish the bisp. The question is: Why do you want to use it during floods? ” Bokhari mentioned. “Slipping it several times into flood policy is exactly what we call politicization.”

She accused the PPP of ignoring the interests of the people of Punjab and of using floods. She defended the performance of the Punjab government during the floods, saying that even the president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, had praised Maryam Nawaz.
By questioning the role of the PPP in Punjab, the provincial information minister said: “When, while living in Punjab, never fight the case of Punjab? Do you want the inhabitants of Punjab to be deprived of wheat, flour and bread? ”.
She added: “If you were able to do anything, you would not be seated at home telling us where the flood was going to strike or where the embankment was going to rape. Such decisions are made by governments according to the situation and the circumstances.”
