The Matt Wrestling star (MLW), Matt Riddle, offered a sunny achievement for professional wrestlers in the midst of recent high -level departures that took place last week.
WWE separated from the superstars known as Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Cora Jade, Gigi Doan, Riley Osborne, Eddy Thorpe, Jakara Jackson, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang, Oro Mensah and Javier Bernal. Fightful Select noted that departures were not pure and simple versions, but rather the decision not to renew the contracts.

Riddle was also a version of WWE, separating from the company in September 2023. He has since played in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA around the world and has made an indelible brand on MLW by becoming the world heavyweight champion to start the year.
He told PK Press Club Digital that the possibility of performing at a high level elsewhere has proven to be a “blessing”.
“It depends on what you do when you are fired. It is always unhappy when people lose their jobs, but in the end, for some of us, say for me, for example, it was a blessing,” said Riddle. “Sometimes you just need the right push. Sometimes you need someone to close a door so that another can open. And that does not mean that all those who have been released, and it is not only professional struggle, it is a profession.

“Believe me, it may seem that it is over, or it fears, but when one door closes, another opens. Even when I was dismissed from the UFC during the day, and then come where I did in the professional struggle, and even at this time when I am today. I was dismissed about a year ago, but I held eight different championships, and I was able to recover the championship.
“Sometimes getting fired is a disguised blessing.”
Riddle returned to MLW at Kings of Coliseum in 2024 and won Battle Riot VI that year. In January at Kings of Coliseum, he beat Satoshi Kojima for the World Heavy Weather Championship.
He then defended it successfully in a triple-menace match against Kojima and Alex Kane, then against 39 other men in battle Riot VII.

On Saturday, he will face Donovan Dijak in a defense of the title to Azteca Lucha in Chicago. The event takes place at the Cicero stadium and can be seen on Youtube at 10 p.m. HE.
