Max Homa is among several big names that do not respect the exemptions from the US Open from 2025 to Oakmont, leaving its most oak fate on Monday to a qualifier in Ohio.

“It seems to be better than when someone stands next to me for any reason,” he said. “Maybe I should walk alone.

As for golf?

“It’s probably going to be heartbreaking, but it’s okay,” said Homa. “I haven’t transported my 36 -hole bag for a while, so I’m a little tired.”

Homa is not entirely out of the United States Open. He plays Canada Open this week, although he should probably win to enter the top 60 and qualify.

The Masters was the first fact of Homa since the open championship last year, and it finished T12 in Augusta. But since then, he has finished 70th, T30, T60 and T51. Last year, it was ranked 10th in the world.

Somewhat ironically, Fowler qualified for the open championship of this year with a top 10 in Memorial on Sunday.
