Pakistan Customs has annoyed an attempted closing of goods with a value of RS14 crosses thanks to a poor statement to the Karachi international container terminal (QICT), officials announced on Friday.
According to the deputy collector Raza Naqvi, the shipment was declared as part of the export facilitation program (EFS) in the form of aluminum scrap, but the examination revealed that it contained a range of highly declared high -value items, Express News reported.
These included medical equipment, electronic cigarettes, vape flavors and lithium batteries.
The 40 -foot container, imported from Malaysia, was released by the qict green canal.
Customs acted on a point and seized the container immediately after leaving the terminal. The documentation showed a declared weight of 81,950 kilograms of aluminum paper.
“After an in -depth examination, the shipment was found in clear violation of the EFS rules,” confirmed Naqvi.
Officials registered a case against the importer, M / S Indexes Industries and confiscated the goods. Additional surveys are underway.
