- NucBox K17 combines CPU, GPU and NPU for comprehensive AI performance
- Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor delivers efficient, fast computing
- Integrated 130V Arc GPU delivers 53 TOPS AI throughput using INT8 precision
GMKTec introduced the NucBox K17 mini PC with a focus on compact AI performance, combining a high-efficiency processor with integrated graphics and a dedicated neural unit.
The NucBox K17 is built around the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, which features 8 cores and 8 threads manufactured using the TSMC N3B process.
This mini PC reaches a maximum boost clock of 4.5 GHz with a maximum thermal power of 37 W and offers up to 97 TOPS of total AI performance on its CPU, GPU and NPU components.

AI Performance Approaches Triple-Digit Territory
The integrated Intel Arc 130V GPU handles graphics tasks and delivers a maximum AI throughput of 53 TOPS using INT8 precision.
A dedicated Intel AI Boost NPU provides an additional 40 TOPS for AI workloads and on-device acceleration tasks, a combination that allows the K17 to handle AI applications without relying on cloud services or external GPUs.
The system comes with 16GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory running at speeds up to 8,533 MT/s, although this configuration is non-removable and cannot be upgraded later.
The K17 supports triple-monitor synchronous setups and can drive resolutions up to 8K on compatible displays.
Video output options include two HDMI ports and a USB4 Type-C interface that also supports DisplayPort at 4K resolution and 60Hz.
The USB4 port offers data transfer speeds of 40 Gbps and a 100 W Power Delivery input, allowing the system to be powered via a compatible monitor or docking station.
For storage, the mini PC includes two M.2 2280 SSD slots with a maximum capacity of up to 16TB when using two 8TB drives.
The system comes with PCIe 4.0 SSDs, but also supports faster PCIe 5.0 SSDs for users who need higher bandwidth.
The cooling system uses a superconducting copper turbine fan design with dual stereophonic air inlet, aiming to maintain thermal stability under sustained workloads.
Users can choose between three power modes: 20W quiet operation, 25W balanced mode, or 35W performance mode with a peak of 37W.
The system with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is priced at $559.99 after a $210 reduction from its original $769.99. The 1TB model is available for $619.99, down from $819.99.
Both configurations can be purchased from the official GMKTec website, which offers free shipping to most countries and includes a one-year warranty.
