The long -awaited meeting of Prince Harry with King Charles III sparked an online storm among royal observers, many of which supervising the meeting as the monarch storing with his youngest son against the heir to the throne Prince William.
The meeting in London earlier this month was the first between Harry and his father in 18 months.
He followed Harry’s interview with the BBC earlier this year, in which he expressed a desire for reconciliation with Charles and William.
Representatives of the monarch and the Duke of Sussex would have organized private discussions in the months preceding the face to face.
William was not present in Reunion, which some royal supporters quickly rejected as brief and insignificant.
Others have gone further, accusing Charles and Harry of conspiracy against the Prince of Wales.
On social networks, a popular account argued that “Charles meeting Harry actually launches William under the bus”, noting the Duke’s rapid trip to kyiv later to support the injured Ukrainian veterans.
Another commentator said that the royal podcasts “dragged William” following the meeting.
The debate occurs while William is preparing to play a leading role alongside King Charles during the state visit of American President Donald Trump to the United Kingdom next week.
