Megan Thee Stallion found love when she least expected it.
In a new interview with People magazine released on February 13, the Grammy-winning rapper reflected on her relationship with Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson, revealing that she was solely focused on self-improvement.
“Well, I never want to say it [anybody] “to just jump into a relationship just because everyone else has one, and I’m not going to tell you to just jump into a relationship because you have to,” the WAP the hitmaker said.
Instead of looking for romance, Megan focused on herself. “I think that because eventually I started to have a better mindset about myself and my life, and I had already done a lot of work to heal myself,” she explained, adding that she was going to therapy and enjoying activities she loved. “Maybe God just opened up this space for me to have someone who loves me,” she noted.
Today, the 30-year-old says she feels something new: ease. “It’s one of the first times I’ve felt too comfortable,” she added with a laugh. “I’m comfortable, baby!”
After publicly beginning their romance in July 2025, Megan insists love shouldn’t be forced. “People need to stop trying to be in love and chasing love,” she said. “They just have to let it come to them.”
