Prince Harry’s Canadian supporters say Meghan Markle has completely ignored their support for the Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games.
The Duchess of Sussex sparked new backlash after a video showed her celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
The clip was shared by Kelly McKee Zajfen.
One fan said: “Canada just gave Harry a warm welcome to the Invictus Games. “It also deserves a certain amount of respect from a member of the royal family. » It doesn’t matter who she supports in sports, but she doesn’t need to post it. Again, this says a lot about narcissism.
Many others reminded Meghan Markle of how Canada welcomed her and Harry when the couple left the United Kingdom.
Others said the Duchess of Sussex should also remember that Harry’s father, King Charles III, is Canada’s head of state.
Many Canadians were unhappy, as this came just months after political tensions began between the two countries over U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial declarations that Canada would be the 51st state of the United States.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Canada for the first time after leaving their royal duties and before settling in California with their prince Archie.
The couple now lives in the United States with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, the couple’s daughter born in Los Angeles.
