Meghan Markle reportedly humiliated as Victoria Beckham’s new documentary becomes a major hit.
Victoria Beckham, which premiered on October 9, has become one of Netflix’s biggest success stories.
Insiders recently told Radar Online that while Victoria’s documentary was praised, the Duchess of Sussex was “shaken.”
The Hollywood source said: “Meghan is shaken by this. Victoria has achieved exactly what she aspired to do: seamlessly transition from celebrity to credible business figure.”
“Meghan tried to establish herself as a cultural powerhouse, but Victoria’s documentary completely eclipsed her. It stings, there’s no doubt about it,” they added.
Additionally, an entertainment executive told the outlet, “Victoria’s documentary is being hailed as sophisticated, authentic and beautifully produced. Netflix considers her a true success story – a celebrity who effortlessly became a respected creator and businesswoman. Meghan is still trying to find her place, and that contrast is what fuels her jealousy.”
Meanwhile, another source noted that Victoria’s success was everything Meghan Markle was looking for. “Victoria built her empire slowly and strategically, while Meghan’s actions seem more impulsive. Seeing Victoria celebrated for exactly what she wanted to achieve really struck a chord.”
However, David Beckham’s wife would not have given the Duchess of Sussex a second thought. “She’s incredibly proud of what she’s built and isn’t interested in reliving old tensions. The Beckhams are long past that friendship – this is Victoria’s moment, and she’s not letting anyone take the attention away from her.”
While Prince Harry’s wife is always looking for the feeling of authenticity, Victoria doesn’t need to force it.
