Meghan, who hoped that the show would help her rename herself, was deeply injured by negative reactions, a royal initiate revealed.
The Duchess of Sussex, which now goes through Meghan Sussex, thought that the series could relaunch its career and stimulate its image, but the initiates say that it now feels crushed and humiliated.
“Meghan started from a full top to feel crushed and humiliated,” said the initiate Closer magazine.
“She was categorical about the fact that it would be a pivotal moment for her and really believed that it could transform her into Martha Stewart – an opportunity to relaunch her career and stimulate her image.”
While the show briefly reached the Top 10, the initiate said that Meghan knew that the notes were probably fired by curiosity about it rather than a real interest in the show itself.
The source continued: “Of course, it anticipated a negative reaction, but that does not mean that the backlash it received less injured.”
