Meghan Markle, who often speaks publicly about the traumatic phase of her life in the United Kingdom, appears to pay tribute to the much-loved royal figure, sparking mixed reactions.
The Duchess of Sussex bid farewell to 2025 by appearing on the cover of the December 2025/January 2026 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
Several of her photos have sparked reactions from fans due to their resemblance to the iconic moments of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
From ensembles to poses, Meghan reminded people of Diana. But her latest move disappointed some fans and a PR expert as it was seen as a “copy” of the late Princess of Wales’ vision.
In conversation with express.co.ukRenae Smith shared, “These aren’t sweet references or homages. These are copies. The one cross-legged on the floor? Stop that!”
She called Meghan’s decision “provocative” in a bad way, criticizing the Duchess for intentionally placing herself under the “royal shadow” despite her constant attacks on the company.
“It’s not hard to avoid anything related to the royal family. But she can’t go two weeks without doing something related to the royal family!” » added Renae.
However, the expert believes that Meghan’s photos must have been an emotional moment for her husband, Harry, because he would have seen it as a special wink.
“I guess Harry might love it. I guess she checked with him first, and he probably told her it was adorable,” Renae said.
