Meghan Markle shared a funny and relatable hair story of the first days of the pandemic on her podcast, Confessions of a founding woman.
The Duchess of Sussex spoke of trying to dye her own hair at home with a tincture in a box while her family stayed with a friend in California.
She said that she hoped to look like the model on the box, but ended up with very dark, almost black hair that reminded her of the character Elvira.
Sharing how she met a businesswoman and hair colorist Kadi Lee by hairdresser Serge Normant, Meghan said: “He and I became friends after doing my hair for my wedding.”
“So my family had just moved to California,” she added. “We were in our friend’s house. And because it was the pandemic, I continued to control a box dye in a box. And I said to myself: “I’m going to look like it does on the box ..” “
“Instead, it was this ink black hair, almost Elvira,” said Prince Harry’s wife. “And I sent a text to Serge, and he said:” You have to see Kadi. “”
“And you came. I mean, we were masked and all things. It was such an interesting period, but I remember so well that day. ”
