Melania Trump denies ties to Epstein, but what about her ‘Love, Melania’ email to Ghislaine Maxwell?

The first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, released a rare public statement on Thursday April 9 clarifying her ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

In her statement, she forcefully denies any connection to the convicted sex offender.

She said “the lies linking me to the shameful Jeffrey Epstein must stop today.”

The statement was made at the White House, where the 55-year-old clearly stated: “I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I never knew of Epstein’s abuse of his victims.”

“I was never involved in any capacity. I didn’t participate,” she added.

Although she denied any connection, she acknowledged sending a cordial email in 2002 to Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

However, she said it was “informal correspondence” and a “polite response” that “constitutes nothing more than a meaningless note.”

In this specific email, Melania wrote to Maxwell: “Dear G! How are you? Great story on JE in New York magazine. You look great in the photo… I love Melania.”

Denying any claims that she was introduced to Trump by Epstein, she explained that she first met Epstein in 2000 at an event where he was already with the president.

Additionally, she also called on Congress to provide all of Epstein’s victims with a public hearing.

She said: “Every woman should have her day to tell her story publicly, if she chooses, and her testimony should then be permanently recorded in the congressional record. »
