US President Donald Trump’s wife Melania Trump raised children’s fate in Ukraine and Russia in a personal letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, two White House officials announced on Friday.
President Trump delivered the letter to Putin by hand during their talks at the Alaska, said those responsible Reuters. Melania Trump, of Slovenian origin of the slot, was not traveling in Alaska.
The civil servants would not disclose the content of the letter other than to say that it mentioned the kidnappings of children resulting from the war in Ukraine.
The existence of the letter has not been reported before.
The seizure of Ukrainian children by Russia was deeply sensitive to Ukraine.
Ukraine called the abductions of tens of thousands of its children led to Russia or in territory occupied by Russian without the consent of the family or tutors a war crime which responds to the definition of the United Nations Genocide Treaty.
Previously, Moscow said that he protected vulnerable children from a war zone.
The United Nations Human Rights Office declared that Russia had inflicted millions of Ukrainian children and raped their rights since its large -scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022.
Trump and Putin met for almost three hours in an American military base in Anchorage without concluding a cease-fire contract in the war in Ukraine.
