Carson Beck made the surprise decision to give up a prosecution of the NFL and play at least a year of university football when he decided to transfer Georgia to Miami.
On the surface, the transfer had a meaning. Beck goes out with Miami Hurricanes’ female basketball star Hanna Cavinder, and be closer to the person with whom he is involved seemed obvious. However, Cavinder was categorical not to have played a role in bringing him Beck to “The U.”

“Obviously, the University of Miami is an incredible campus. And, I think it was the best decision for him. I think he will love the university,” she told ESPN. “Obviously, I love Miami, so I’m going to stay here. … I’m super excited for him and to be able to watch him play.”
Cavinder said that she didn’t really need to convince Beck to fly south and added that she would no longer be eligible for the NCAA when Beck starts playing football.

Beck will replace Cam Ward, who has experienced one of the best seasons that all quarter-arre had on the program.
The former Bulldogs star was part of the team when they won consecutive national titles.

He had 3,485 yards by the pass and 28 passes of hit in 2024. The bulldogs lost in the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame.
