They say university is the best time of life – well, Mohamed Touré is sure to enjoy it.
Having already played seven years of college football, the Miami Hurricanes linebacker, listed as a graduate student on the official Miami Athletics website, is reportedly considering a return to play in the 2026 season, which would mark his eighth in the sport.
Touré’s first college football season was in 2019 with Rutgers, in which he redshirted, winning a year later. He then lost his 2020, 2022 and 2024 seasons due to COVID-19 and two ACL injuries, adding three years later.

Add it all up, and that’s four more seasons of college football.
Toure’s Hurricanes narrowly fell short of the national championship last week, with their unsuccessful comeback against top-ranked Indiana capping a 16-0 season with a 27-21 victory.
Touré transferred to Miami ahead of the 2025 season and became a mainstay of their defense, leading the team with 84 tackles. Eleven of them came in the title match.

His teammate, Carson Beck, turned heads before the national championship when he openly admitted that he “graduated two years ago” and had “no classes.”
Beck, who studied at Georgia before transferring before last season, added that he’s “working toward other degrees now that I’ve come to Miami, but those programs take a little longer than a year to complete.”
“Obviously, I won’t be re-enrolling next semester. I’ll be done after this season,” Beck continued.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, the 2026 season will be Touré’s last, and if he plays again until the end of January, he will be 25 years old when his college playing years end.
