Strategy (MSTR), the largest publicly traded company holding Bitcoin, expanded its position last week by acquiring 3,015 BTC for approximately $204.1 million, an average price of $67,700 each.
Bitcoin is trading at $66,000 as of Monday morning, with MSTR shares flat in early action.
To fund the purchases, Strategy raised approximately $229.9 million through the sale of common stock, as well as $7.1 million in net proceeds from its Series A Floating Rate Perpetual Expandable Preferred Stock, STRC, according to a Monday filing.
Following the latest purchase, the company now holds 720,737 BTC acquired for approximately $54.77 billion, an average price of approximately $75,985 per coin.
