Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball head coach Dusty May has responded to the chaos surrounding the school’s football program amid the firing of Sherrone Moore.
Moore was fired last week as the team’s head football coach after the school said he had an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. He was later arrested for criminal harassment and home invasion.

“When it comes to football, obviously there have been bad decisions made at all levels,” May told reporters via On3 Sports. “It is what it is. Everyone involved is human beings, and every decision impacts other human beings. And so, I pray for the families that are affected and for their lives, and for their children. I really don’t have anything more to say other than that.”
Moore faces one charge of trespassing and two misdemeanor charges of stalking and breaking and entering without the owner’s permission. He was accused of terrorizing the member of staff he was involved with during an incident after his dismissal.

The judge in the case granted Moore $25,000 bail with conditions including regular mental health treatment, installation of a GPS tracking device, no contact of any kind with the victim and staying in Michigan.
A not guilty plea was entered on Moore’s behalf by the judge.
May also addressed the recent shootings that took place at Brown University in Rhode Island and at a Hanukkah event in Australia.

“I don’t have any solutions to the world’s problems, but man, if we all tried to be better human beings and better world civilians and stuff, I think we’d all have a much bigger impact. That’s really it,” he said.
