- Microsoft’s quarterly income exceeded $ 70 billion, up 13% in annual shift
- Azure and other cloud services increased by 33%
- Copilot users are now up 3-4X in annual shift
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says that cloud and AI demand was the main drivers of its last growth in spectacular income for its last quarter, ending on March 31, 2025.
Of the $ 70.1 billion in third quarter income, Microsoft Cloud’s revenues amounted to $ 42.4 billion, up 20% from one year to the next. The company also increased 33% for Azure and other cloud service income.
In fact, it was a solid quarter at all levels for the company, including for consumer -oriented products such as Xbox, Windows OEM and devices, and Microsoft 365.
Microsoft Return is increasing in all categories
Thanks to the enormous growth of Azure and other cloud services, motivated by a continuous interest in artificial intelligence and other powerful cloud computing applications, Redmond noted a 22% increase in income for server products and cloud services.
The positive news occurs just a few weeks after Microsoft confirmed that it would put an end to its $ 1 billion data center project in Ohio in the midst of cost concerns resulting from the commercial rates induced by the war, declaring: “After a careful examination, we will not progress at this time with our plans.”
Speaking on the call of the results, Nadella said that the company remains attached to expansion in this segment: “We continue to expand our data center capacity. This quarter, we have opened [data centers] in 10 countries on four continents. “”
On the AI front, Nadella revealed on the call of the results that 15 million people now use the Github Copilot coding assistant – a quadruple increase compared to that time last year.
Nadella also noted that “hundreds of thousands of customers through geographies and industries now use Copilot” in Microsoft 365, marking an equally impressive 3x increase from year to year, but the CEO has not noted exactly how many users that the AI assistant has accumulated.
Consistent growth in the Microsoft 365 services added to the financial success of the company, with commercial products up 11% and consumer products up 10%.
