- 300 free licenses for Microsoft 365 Business Basic are offered
- Other subscriptions could see discounts up to 75%
Microsoft has confirmed that it will end free Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Office 365 E1 Licenses for non -profit organizations in what it calls an effort to “rationalize [its] grant offers and simplify [its] Portfolio of subsidies. “”
Instead of the obsolete program, the technology giant will offer a certain number of free licenses as well as a heavy reduction on other plans, including M365 Business Premium and Office 365 E1.
Those who do not want to benefit from the discount and start to pay subscription fees will lose access to some of the features they may have used with their free licenses.
Non -profit organizations will no longer receive free Microsoft 365 subscription services
The company confirms that it will replace the regime with the one that allows non -profit organizations to receive up to 300 licenses for Microsoft 365 Busty. Eligible users will also be able to make 75% discounts on other subscriptions, including Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Office 365 E1.
If a non -profit organization is small enough to be able to use the 300 free licenses for Basic Basic, it will always lose access to office versions of Office Applications and other features as intune, therefore, they will have to pay to restore these features.
Despite the heavy reduction, some non -profit organizations can deal with unexpected costs, especially for the features they must now pay. Since the nature of non -profit organizations is that finances can be limited, the company was criticized during its short -term period.
Redmond has added: “Our objective in technology for social impact (TSI) is to ensure that non -profit organizations can benefit from the leading industry solutions which are essential to ensure the highest level of security and organizational productivity.”
We do not know what type of cost savings hopes to achieve this readjustment or how many non -profit organizations will be affected.
